Joe M. Speaks Out Against His Critics Regarding His Missing Persons Crusade:
I am responding to the accusations that only missing white girls get the attention of the media, myself and help from missing person's groups. This is absolutely false. If you take a look at the victims/missing below, you can see they are all types of people. I don't see color. People need to quit playing the race card and check the facts. I've helped everyone...white, black, hispanic, old, young, man...woman.

Julie was last seen at Ledo's Lounge on North High Street near the Ohio State University campus. She was found three weeks later near Hoover Dam in Ohio. Her remains were discovered by a mowing crew along Smothers Road. There has been no leads in this investigation.

Missing since 2002. Carla is Yugoslavian but looks Hispanic. Carla was last seen at El Grotto's in the vicinity of W. Broad St. in Columbus, OH. She was last seen leaving with a black male.

Rob Mohney, missing since 1996
Robert S. Mohney was reported missing July 18, 1996 in Westerville, Ohio. Police said Mohney returned home from work two days earlier, prepared dinner and was in the process of eating when he left the house in his red 1995 Pontiac Firebird.
Mohney left the house without his wallet. He never returned home and has not been heard from since. Police believe Mohney was a victim of foul play. His vehicle was found parked above the Hoover Reservoir a few days after his disappearance, but his body has never been recovered.

In your overly abuntant praise of Joe, you forgot to mention one missing woman from Columbus Ohio. The others are right there in photos with his "donation" amount- and yet, it's been over a year and there is still nothing about her. Does he only suport those in Columbus that can make it in more than one news story?
Hey, I'm a mother of a two year old, I work ove 40 hours and week and hardly have a moment to myself. Sorry if I can't keep up with EVERY missing person.
It seems like you've forgotten to mention the missing woman from Columbus. There are lots of missing women in that area. Be specific.
I can't comment on Joe's motives...I don't have this deep personal relationship with the guy. It's all business All I know is that I agree with his stance on boycotting Aruba until the Holloway's get answers.

You are doing wonderful work. It's a shame Mr. Mammana has to justify helping Natalee by showing he has been trying to help all these other families. He has been doing this all this time while trying not to be too conspicous. He is more of a man than he is given credit for.
lostinlimaohio - How many missing people have you helped? The amount shouldn't matter - be it one or two. The fact you make an effort should be what counts. Don't put someone down for their efforts, unless you are willing to look at your own.

Mary Grobe was not a blonde young pregnant woman, she was a 74 year old legally declared incompetent child-like elderly widow from Poplar Bluff, Mo. She vanished from her home on 9-27-03. It was Joe Mammana that came forward to help a daughter get answers about her missing mother, Mary Grobe.

My brother is Tony Luzio one of Joes missing perons cases. Our family is from Deleware, ohio. Joe has donated $100,000 to anyone with info on my brothers disapearance. We are so greatful for his donation. We met him on Oct. 25th and we were very impressed with him. He is an amazing man. He is using his money to help make this world a better place and to help families who are suffering. He is a man who isn't afraid to say what the majority of us are thinking. Even if his work and donations only help solve a few case or only one case he will still have made a difference. There is only so much one man can do and i think we should be amazed at the work he has been doing for families..exp. Beth Twitty...with him by her side there is no way that Natalee's dissaperace wont be solved.
Joe is a man who I admire and will never forget for helping our family..whether his help and money leads us to answers or not.

I am a friend of the family of Robert Mohney. He was a great guy. I hope with Joe's help, the family can get some closure.... it's just been soooo long, too long, they need info, good or bad, just give them some closure and tell them what you know! A big reward........ com'on, someone knows something! I still til this day pray for this family, often, and think of Rob often, also. I didn't know him very well, but I was good friends with his wife. And still great friends with his sister-in-law.

Sorry, but Joe is in jail. He has been in jail since November (if I remember correctly). He will be in prison for a very long time. He was charged and pleaded guilty to tax evasion and other various parole violations from his previous stint in prison. He gets sentenced in June and is now broke in order to pay back the IRS almost a million dollars he stole from his own company. His family company that he ran, Yardley Farms, is no longer in existence. Joe used his money and his missing persons crusade to gain fame...he isn't going to be able to help anyone anymore. He will be in prison for 5+ years.
Also, I could never find a picture of Rob Mohney, but I will try and find one. Otherwise I would have posted his pic with the original post. I'll do my best.

I'm sad to say that Rob Mohney's mother passed away today.I believe it is a direct result of Rob vanishing from westerville ohio years ago.The westerville police knows who did this to Rob and his family but never went after there suspect.Detective Ron Zollinger took his own life during the investigation.Mike Shaheen went on to the FBI.I was told that murders dont happen in westerville by both of these people.They know as well as ALL of Robs friends who did this.Not only did he take Robs life but,his mothers as well.God Bless you both.I hope you are finally together now.
yes, jethro...we all know who did it. ANDY DILLON. don't be afraid to say it. he has since had multiple arrests and prison time for everything from domestic violence to menacing. i pray that one day they get him. until then, continue to shun him. may rob and jackie both rest in peace.

No, Joe isn't in the witness protection program! He did get a kick out hearing that though! And yes, he is still in prison. He was supposed to be sentenced this month(Dec) but it has been postponed yet again.
