Ben Fawley ’s lawyer (Collins, we think was his name) was interviewed a few minutes ago by Greta Van Susteren, the she-legal-eagle of the airwaves. Ben’s lawyer stated to Greta that his client saw missing Taylor Behl twice on Sept 5th.
Up to now, we don’t have Taylor getting to Richmond until 6:45pm that day, and then she had dinner at the Village Cafe with other friends. Apparently, she returned to the VCU dorm. Or so we thought.
The problem we have is Ben’s lawyer said they spent several hours at his apartment the first time Taylor saw him. His lawyer says he “dropped her off” at the Village Cafe; he has no car so we assume he walked her there to meet her friends. He also says that Ben left her at the dorm at 9:30pm not 10:20pm the second time, which means Ben apparently walked her back from his house to the dorm after she came by to borrow a skateboard. This poses a problem in re-constructing a timeline - unless she drove directly to Ben’s house at 6:45pm (when her father reports recieving a call from her stating she’s arrived in Richmond), how else can we explain her seeing him twice that day? We’re not sure what time she left NOVA, so it stands to reason we really don’t know what time she arrived.
Granted, we don’t know the whole story, but it’s starting to become more of a mind bender. Collins confirmed his client was willing to take a lie detector test, but on his advice, Ben did not. Collins, who appears to be both sly like a fox and pretty candid about things, also confirmed his client had a “romantic” relationship with Taylor - along with the details that Ben saw Taylor on 3 seperate occassions: February, April and then this month.
