A Center Grove High School student has admitted to creating an Internet link entitled "People Who Deserve To Die." The link was placed on a high school girls' band Web location and took users to a second page with the heading: "These People Should Die." A dozen names followed.
Four Center Grove High School and three Roncalli High School students were identified on the site as "creeps and deserve to never see the light of day again," said Johnson County sheriff's Detective Bill Pfifer.
Complaints about the link were made last week by parents and students to Marion County and Johnson County sheriff's investigators.
The boy came forward after Roncalli officials were preparing to take disciplinary action against the girl."His intent was to get one of the girls in the band, his former girlfriend, into trouble," Pfifer said Thursday. "Parents and kids who saw it were scared to death. We will present our case to juvenile court authorities in a few days,"The 15-year-old boy said he had help hacking into the band's web site."We know some other people assisted him with hacking into the web site and creating the link," Pfifer said. "We have some leads about them."
