This is not just dumb parenting, but plain SICK...I hope these two LOSERS get put away for a LONG TIME. Sometimes in cases like this I wish people would just get sterilized so they don't continue the cycle of 'Loserdom'.
A 16-month-old boy who ingested an unknown amount of cocaine remains hospitalized today.
The parents of the child, Dominique Burnett, 20, and Airrick Cannon, 21, took the child to St. Vincent Hospital because he was acting strangely.
A spokesperson stated, "We're told by the parents that the child had been acting funny and started coughing and there was a white residue around the child's mouth." The hospital confirmed that the white powder was cocaine. Any amount of cocaine ingested a small child can be lethal.
"What they told us was that the child had actually found the cocaine out near a dumpster and they're actually sticking to that story," Burton said.

Police said they found scales, a semi-automatic handgun, a large knife and cocaine residue inside the child's room.

I find it hard to believe that a 16 month baby would wonder out of the house unattended in the middle of November, walk to a dumpster and climb into it. Most dumpsters are at least 5 feet high.
