er tires were deflated on 24 school buses, the majority of the school system's fleet. A transportation official told 6News that the valve covers were taken off the tires to let the air out. No tires were damaged.
The buses are not parked in gated areas, but are located in three different areas near the high school, at the administration building and at a shed near the school system's stadium. Officials did not speculate Friday morning about who deflated the tires or why it happened.
