I KNEW HE WAS A LOONY-BIN CASE AND A LIAR

YOU ARE OUT OF TIME...YOUR 15 MINUTES ARE UP.

GAME OVER. PLEASE DO NOT PLAY AGAIN.

Let's take a look at this situation. This is a dangerous sex predator. Even though he pretended to be the killer of Jonbenet Ramsey, getting his 15 minutes, and subsequently ruled out as a suspect, he is still a threat to society. Now he has California to deal with. Let me tell you, as a pedophile in a California State Prison, he won't last long. I mean, look at the guy! I'm a woman and I could beat his ass down. I've love to get in the ring with him...one round is all it would take for me to make his little ass run away crying like a little bitch.

I hope he gets the maximum penalty for his possession of child pornography charges. Soon no one will remember this little frail perverted and sick fool.

MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee has been ranked by Forbes.com as "America's Drunkest City" on a list of 35 major metropolitan areas ranked for their drinking habits. It used numbers from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to rank cities in five areas: state laws, number of drinkers, number of heavy drinkers, number of binge drinkers and alcoholism.

Minneapolis-St. Paul was ranked second overall; followed by Columbus, Ohio; Boston; Austin, Texas; Chicago; Cleveland; Pittsburgh and then Philadelphia and Providence, R.I., in a tie for ninth.

Rick DeMeyer, 28, said Wednesday as he was celebrating his birthday at G-Daddy's BBC he could understand Milwaukee's ranking. "I have had people stay with me from London and Chicago, and they can't get over how much we drink," he said. "I guess we do." But officials at Visit Milwaukee, the area's convention and visitors bureau, contend that the city has come a long way in ridding itself of its beer-guzzling image.

Milwaukeeans have plenty of other ways to entertain themselves without drinking alcohol, said Dave Fantle, a spokesman for the group.
He noted a new convention center and baseball park had been built and the Milwaukee Art Museum expanded in recent years. "We've gone from Brew City to new city," he said. (WHATEVER! There is nothing to do in Milwaukee but bar hop, and drink your ass off at Summerfest listing to live music for 2 weeks straight!)

THIS WEEK IN WHITE TRASH CRIME

Wow....ain't she a sight.

Police: Woman arrested for providing
teenagers with alcohol, drugs, birth control

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — A 46-year-old Lexington woman was arrested Wednesday after providing teenagers with alcohol and drugs, including birth control pills, during parties she hosted at her home, Lexington County deputies said.

Patricia Louise Hartwell has been throwing the parties for White Knoll High School students, encouraging them to drink and have sex, for nearly two years, Sheriff James Metts said. The parties took place at Hartwell's apartment about 200 yards from the school, Metts said.

Deputies started investigating Hartwell earlier this month after a mother complained her 15-year-old daughter got drunk and had sex while staying overnight at Hartwell's apartment, Metts said.

Six students have given investigators written statements about what went on at the parties, the sheriff said. The investigation is continuing and more charges could be filed, said Metts, who wants anybody who attended the parties or knew about them to call deputies.

Hartwell had a child that once attended White Knoll High School, deputies said.Hartwell was charged with six counts of transferring beer to a minor, five counts of transferring liquor to a minor and five counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, Metts said. She also has a record that includes driving under the influence and public disorderly conduct charges, sheriff's Maj. John Allard said. She was being held at the Lexington County jail Wednesday awaiting a bond hearing.

Man sentenced for sending pornographic
photos of ex-wife to her family

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) — A man was sentenced to jail for breaking into his former wife's e-mail and sending pornographic pictures of her to her relatives. Alfred Seals, 47, of Cape Girardeau, pleaded guilty Wednesday to misdemeanor tampering with computer data and was sentenced to 20 days behind bars.

Seals gained access to his ex-wife's e-mail account without her consent, then e-mailed her family a link to a Web site and message stating, "something nice to see," according to a probable cause statement. The link took users to a Web site that contained several pornographic pictures Seals took of the woman when they were married. The woman immediately suspected her ex-husband and went to police.

THIS WEEK IN CRIME HISTORY

How could anyone forget the infamous Menendez brothers? They were the first televised court room drama when Court TV first began. As we all know, they gunned down their parents, then lived a lavish life after their parents were "murdered" by "unknown killers".

Their first trial ended in a mistrial. Their second trial ended in the jury convicting both brothers of first degree murder. Their sentence? Life in prison.

The Gruesome Story

Erik Menendez sat and watched the made-for-TV miniseries based on real life events that told the story of a group of young men from Beverly Hills who planned and carried out two murders, including the killing of the father of one of the members of the group. Erik called to his older brother, Lyle who joined him and watched the "Billionaire Boys Club."

Later, they began to discuss killing their father. Each complained to the other about how domineering and controlling their father was, how impossible it was for either brother to please him, how he planned to disinherit both brothers from his will and how poorly he treated their mother. The brothers rationalized that if they killed their father, they would have to kill their mother because she could not survive emotionally without their father. She could also be a living witness to the crime they were about to commit.

The older brother, Lyle, wanted to plan the murders so that they would be as "perfect as could be," but the younger brother could not wait and insisted that the murders take place as soon as possible. The miniseries was shown over two nights, July 30 and 31, 1989, and the murders occurred on the night of August 20, 1989.

The evening of Sunday, August 20, 1989, the $4 million, 23-room Mediterranean-style mansion at 722 Elm Drive was quiet. TJose and Kitty Menendez were in the family room dozing while a James Bond thriller, The Spy Who Loved Me, played on the VCR. The couple’s sons, Lyle, 21, and Erik, 18, had gone out for the evening.

The boys entered the home through the french doors in the study. They walked down the hallway toward the family room, located in the back of the house. The boys entered the family room, which was illuminated only by the light coming from the television screen. Jose was dozing on the tan leather couch, Kitty was lying under a blanket, her body stretched out across the couch, her head in Jose’s lap. One of the boys pointed his twelve-gauge shotgun at the couple and squeezed the trigger.

Two shots were fired at Jose, one pellet struck Jose in the left elbow; another struck him in the right arm, followed by another. The shots immobilized Jose. One of the boys walked behind Jose and placed the shotgun against the back of his head and fired.

After the first shots were fired at Jose, Kitty became alert. She woke up to find herself spattered by Jose’s blood and body tissue. Kitty stood and began to turn away from her attackers, taking a step or two before being shot in the right leg near her calf and in her right arm. She struggled to stand again and tried to regain her balance, but she slipped as she stepped into her own blood.

Now that she was on the floor, her killers fired indiscriminately, riddling her body with shotgun pellets. Kitty was hit in the left thigh from a range that was so close that the paper wadding that contained the pellets caused her leg to break. She was shot in the right arm, then the left breast, which perforated her left lung. A quart of her blood flowed into her chest cavity.

Kitty was not dead. She continued to breathe and tried to crawl away from where she fell, but could not. The boys were out of ammunition and ran to the car to get more. They reloaded their shotguns and placed the shotgun against Kitty’s left cheek and fired. Kitty’s body was shot ten times. Her head had been struck four times. Her skull was shattered.

The final act the boys performed was to carefully gather the shell casings from the spreading pools of blood that now covered the couch, floor and rug under the coffee table.

At 11:47 p.m. on August 20, 1989 a 911 call was received at the Beverly Hills Police Department.

Dispatcher: Beverly Hills emergency.

Lyle Menendez: Yes, police, uh...

Dispatcher: What’s the problem?

Lyle: We’re the sons (caller begins to sob)…

Dispatcher: What’s the problem? What’s the problem?

Lyle: (Still crying) They shot and killed my parents!

Dispatcher: What? Who? Are they still there?

Lyle: Yes.

Dispatcher: The people who...

Lyle: No, no.

Dispatcher: They were shot?

Lyle: Erik, man, don’t.

Dispatcher: (Talking over the background sounds of screams and Lyle shouting, "Erik, shut up!") I have a hysterical person on the phone. Is the person still there?

Second Dispatcher: What happened? Have you been able to figure out what happened?

Lyle: I don’t know.

Second Dispatcher: You came home and found who shot?

Lyle: My mom and dad.

First Dispatcher: Are they still in the house, the people who did the shooting?

Lyle: (Screaming) Erik! Get away from them!

Second Dispatcher: Who is the person who is shot?

Lyle: My mom and dad!

A minute or so later, Michael Butkus, a Beverly Hills police officer, and his partner, John Czarnocki, arrived at 722 Elm Drive. After walking around the outside of the mansion the police officers heard screaming and watched as the two boys ran past them and fell to their knees on the grass between the sidewalk and street. Over and over again they shouted, "Oh my God, I can’t believe it!" The two cops tried to get information out of the men, but the younger one was irrational, running around and trying to ram his head into a tree. The older one was trying to restrain and calm the younger one.

When Detective Les Zoeller arrived he noticed that nothing had been stolen from the mansion. It appeared as thought the victims were acquainted with their killers and Zoeller noticed that there was no forced entry into the home. During the questioning, Erik became distraught. He began to sob and was unable to sit still. Lyle was under control and answered questions methodically. After twenty minutes, the questioning ceased because Erik broke down uncontrollably.

The brothers said they left home around 8:00 p.m., to see "Batman". The brothers told the police that when they returned home, they noticed smoke in the house, especially in the family room. This seemed odd to Zoeller because Butkus and Czarnocki had not seen anything like that. Edmunds asked Lyle who hated his parents enough to want to kill them. Edmunds was surprised when Lyle answered "maybe the mob."

Lyle and Erik staged an elaborate memorial service for Jose and Kitty on August 25, 1989. Lyle and Erik arrived one hour late. Erik looked uncomfortable, and his face was red and swollen. Lyle appeared calm and cool. On August 28, 1989, a traditional church service was held at the university chapel in Princeton.

At the service, Lyle spoke for thirty minutes and recalled how much Jose and Kitty had meant to him. Erik was too upset to speak. Their parents’ murders affected Lyle and Erik differently. Erik was unsure whether to begin attending UCLA or devote himself to tennis. Lyle seemed more focused. He decided against continuing with his college education and began to plan for a career in business.

Four days after the murders, the brothers began a spending spree. The brothers' shopping sprees were funded by Jose’s personal life insurance policy of $650,000. The brothers spent money on new cars, designer label clothes and jewelry. Three days after the murders, the brothers spent $15,000 on Rolex watches and money clips.

The brothers decided that they could not stay in the Beverly Hills mansion. The brothers told their friends that they moved from hotel to hotel because they feared that the same mobsters who murdered their parents would come after them. Lyle hired bodyguards to travel with him for several weeks after the murders. Lyle’s bodyguards were alarmed when Lyle would jump out of the limousine before it came to a complete stop to shop and spend money. On one occasion, the bodyguards watched as he purchased $24,000 in stereo equipment.

The brothers' shopping sprees continued. Lyle decided that he had to have a new car. The red Alfa Romeo that his parents had purchased for him as a high school graduation present and that he never liked had to go. The Alfa was replaced by a much more expensive gunmetal gray Porsche 911 Carrera that cost $64,000. Erik traded in his Ford Escort for a Jeep Wrangler. By October 1989, Lyle had charged more than $90,000 to Jose’s American Express card.

Zoeller and the rest of the Beverly Hills investigators watched as the brothers threw money around. Kitty and Jose were murdered on August 20, 1989 and by the end of the year, Lyle and Erik had spent more than a million dollars. The police now suspected that the brothers were behind the murders. Although Erik appeared cool and calm to Zoeller during the interview, Erik was shaken to his core. As soon as the interview was concluded, Erik called Lyle in Princeton. He couldn’t reach him.

Erik called his psychotherapist, Jerome Oziel. Erik saw Oziel on October 31. During the session, Erik said, "We did it. We killed our parents."

Oziel would later testify in court that the brothers "looked at each other and said, ‘We’re sociopaths.’" Lyle then erupted in anger. He threatened Oziel and told Oziel that if he told anyone he would kill him too. On November 2, the brothers met with Oziel again. Lyle threatened Oziel again, telling him that he and Erik had considered killing him in order to keep their secret.

Oziel made notes and tape recordings of his sessions with the brothers. On March 5, 1990, the detectives received a break in the case from a woman named Judalon Smyth. Smyth was a woman who owned an audiotape duplicating business. She told the detectives that Oziel had asked her to eavesdrop on a therapy session he had with the Menendez brothers on October 31, 1989.

Smith told the detectives she overheard a shouting match between Lyle and Erik in which Lyle shouted, "I can’t believe you told him!" "We’ve got to kill him and anyone associated with him." According to Smyth, Erik screamed back, "I can’t stop you from what you have to do, but I can’t kill any more." The session ended when Erik ran out of the office sobbing. Smyth saw Lyle leave the office, followed by Dr. Oziel. Smyth told the detectives that she witnessed Lyle threaten Oziel. Smyth said she heard Lyle say, " I can kind of understand Erik, but he shouldn’t have done this..."

Grand Jury Indictment

On June 9, 1993, defense attorneys Abramson said the defense would admit that the brothers had murdered their parents. The defense would try to prove to the jurors that it was Jose and Kitty and not Lyle and Erik who should be held accountable for why the murders were committed. Abramson and Lansing would argue that the brothers had been instilled with feelings of fear over a long period of time, going back many years.

On July 17, 1993, three days before the trial started, Leslie Abramson gave an interview to the Los Angeles Times. Abramson said that a series of increasingly intense confrontations between the brothers and their parents had led to the murders. During the interview, Abramson laid out her case which would primarily consist of the defense destroying the image of the Menendez family. Abramson and Jill Lansing followed Mones’ advice and dressed their clients in boyish sweaters, sport shirts and khaki pants all in an effort to show that Erik and Lyle were not men of 22 and 25, but boys of twelve and fifteen.

Throughout the trial she picked lint off his sweater and she made sure to keep her arm on his shoulder whenever she whispered into his ear. By behaving in this way, Abramson implied that she was not defending a murderer. Aside from the attorneys and the judge, there was one more entity in the trial: a television camera. Judge Weissberg allowed a single television camera in the courtroom. Weissberg was aware of the intense public interest in the case and the limited number of seats available in his courtroom, so he allowed Court TV to provide a television camera and broadcast the trial.

First Trial:

The Menendez brothers spent three years in the Los Angeles County Men's Jail waiting for their trials to begin. The brothers were segregated from other prisoners and housed in separate cells in the jail's 7000 section. This section housed high-profile inmates such as Richard Ramirez, known as the Nightstalker, and O.J. Simpson. They ate their meals in their cells and had an exercise period for one hour three times a week. During the first months of his confinement, Erik was suicidal and received the tranquilizer, Xanax.

A priest visited Erik during this time and Erik began to reveal for the first time some of the supposed traumas he suffered during his childhood. It was from these conversations that the foundation was laid for the brothers’ controversial defense. In June 1990, Erik began weekly therapy sessions with Dr. William Vicary, a Harvard-trained psychiatrist. Shortly after the sheriff’s deputies found Lyle’s ankle chains almost cut through, they conducted an inspection of both Lyle and Erik’s cells.

They found a seventeen-page letter from Lyle to Erik along with some notes in Erik’s cell. The notes described plans to travel to South America and then to the Middle East. The deputies also found a drawing of a building with stairwells and doors. Deputies tried to match it to the courthouses that Lyle had been in, but could not find a building that the drawing resembled.

The trial began on July 20, 1993 with Bozanich’s opening statement laying out the case against Lyle. Bozanich described the brutality of the murders: Bozanich would often remind the jurors throughout the trial that if Lyle and Erik could lie so frequently and in such detail to avoid being caught, they could also lie about child abuse to avoid death sentences. Bozanich told the jury about the brothers’ spending sprees.

Lansing told the jury that neither brother had talked about the abuse until after they had been arrested and incarcerated for many months because their shame was so great. The brothers had told a family member about the abuse and that family member had told the defense attorneys. The prosecution was always suspicious of how the abuse was revealed. The prosecutors felt that the timing was curious and that the brothers rehearsed their stories with each other before telling members of their family.

On January 13, 1994, after 16 days of deliberation, Erik’s jury announced that it was deadlocked and unable to reach agreement on any of the counts. On January 25, after deliberating for 24 days, Lyle’s jury announced that it was deadlocked. Judge Weissberg declared mistrials in both cases. The outcomes of the cases were a victory for the defense.

Second Trial:

The second trial began in August 1995. In April 1995, Judge Weissberg ruled that the brothers would be retried together, in front of a single jury. Weissberg ruled that the advantages of a "single trial greatly outweigh the potential prejudice." On February 29, closing arguments ended with Conn telling the jury that Lyle and Erik blamed their victims, put their parents on trial, created a clever abuse excuse and told many lies in order to justify shooting their parents.

On March 20, after four days of deliberation, the jury convicted the Menendez brothers each of two counts of first degree murder, as well as conspiracy to commit murder. Jurors also found that there were two special circumstances attached to the murders: lying in wait and multiple murder.

The Sentencing

The penalty phase began on March 22, 1996 and was completed in three weeks. On July 2, 1996, Judge Weissberg sentenced Lyle and Erik Menendez to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Judge Weissberg sentenced the brothers to consecutive sentences for the murders and the charge of conspiracy to commit murder.

PENIS PUMP JUDGE GETS FOUR YEARS

BRISTOW, Okla. (AP) — A former judge convicted of exposing himself while presiding over jury trials and using a penis pump under his robe was sentenced Friday to 4 years in prison.

Donald Thompson had spent almost 23 years on the bench and had served as a state legislator before retiring from the court in 2004. At his trial this summer, his former court reporter, Lisa Foster, testified that she saw Thompson expose himself at least 15 times during trial between 2001 and 2003.

Prosecutors said he also used a device known as a penis pump during at least four trials in the same period. Thompson was convicted last month of four felony courts of indecent exposure for incidents that took place in his Creek County courtroom.

MISSOURI SERIAL KILLER?

DREXEL, Mo. Aug 21, 2006 (AP)— A Missouri man who police say confessed to killing, dismembering and burning the bodies of seven men in his bedroom fireplace was charged Sunday with one count of murder.

Michael Lee Shaver Jr., 33, was charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action related to a killing around the fall 2001. Shaver, who police say spontaneously confessed after he was arrested following a failed carjacking, told investigators that he had shot and killed seven people at his residence during drug transactions so he could take their money and drugs, Cass County Sheriff's Capt. Chuck Stocking said.

Shaver claimed that after he killed the men all between the ages of 20 and 40 and from the Kansas City area he dismembered the bodies, burned the parts in a fireplace in his bedroom, then used a hammer to crush large bones and skulls, authorities and the probable case statement said.

Shaver said he then spread the bone fragments around his back yard. Investigators found bone fragments from two people Saturday on the plot of land northeast of Drexel in western Missouri, and were scouring the property for additional victims. Authorities did not know when Shaver would be arraigned, and police didn't know whether he had an attorney.

Authorities said they aren't ruling out the possibility that he is exaggerating about the killings. "He can say that he killed 50, but we have to prove that he actually did," Stocking said.

Shaver was arrested Friday after he and another man, Nathan Wasmer, 27, were in a speeding vehicle that went off the side of the road and wrecked, Stocking said. He said the two men tried to carjack a witness, but fled after they couldn't get into the woman's vehicle. The witness told a 911 dispatcher that the two men were armed with guns. The men were tracked down to a residential area, where Wasmer surrendered after an hour-long standoff and Shaver was found about a half-hour later hiding in a nearby yard, officials said.

Stocking said Shaver told deputies as he was being placed into a patrol car that he knew of human remains on the wooded property where he lives, and that he wanted to talk to someone about it. Continued "It was a spontaneous statement he made while he was being interviewed for the carjacking," said Stocking. "I didn't believe him," Stocking said. "I just flat didn't believe him."

The bone fragments that have been identified as human by a forensic anthropologist were 1- to 1 1/2-inches in diameter. The deaths occurred over about five years, investigators said.

The most recent remains are several months old, Cpl. Kevin Tieman said. Neighbors described the suspect as a heavy drinking, loud, unfriendly man who they believed was involved in criminal activity. "It's just all the traffic," neighbor Russ Feeback said. "Everyone likes it quiet and he's out here hollering and screaming. And every once in a while there would be a gunshot."

Neighbors said Shaver lived with his mother and her boyfriend or husband, and another man may have lived at the house. Shaver's mother, Shirley A. Bryson, 53, was released on bond Sunday on a charge of hindering prosecution, which stemmed from an incident at the house Thursday that involved Wasmer.

WHAT IS YOUR CHILD DOING ON THE INTERNET?

(source)--Any parent who doubts the need for great vigilance in our Internet age should take note of a recent survey conducted by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. It found that more children are falling victim to the products of perverted pornographers.

The survey of 1,500 children and their guardians found that one-third of Internet users ages 10 to 17 were exposed to unwanted sexual material -- up from one-quarter in 2000. “Researchers said this increase was partly due to aggressive marketing tactics, including adult pop-up ads and computer viruses that can download material from pornographic sites,” reported Cox News Service.

And an earlier study by the London School of Economics reveals that nine out of 10 children who go online will stumble across hard-core porn. Many of them are just trying to get their homework done when they suddenly find themselves gawking at the waste products of sleaze-balls -- the greasy characters of a parent’s worst nightmares.

Hello? Anybody listening?

Parents, here’s the sobering truth: If your child is exposed to garbage, pimps and perverts while online in the comfort of your home, it’s your fault.

You can’t blame the government; you can’t blame Microsoft or IBM or the FCC or even the World Wide Web. You are the guardian of your home. You are paying for the Internet service, the computers, etc. So while you can’t drain the overall culture sewage in which our nation and youth are immersed, you can -- for crying out loud -- control the spout in your own home.

The easiest way to do that is to put a reliable filter on your computer. Just as a water filter protects from many pollutants, so an Internet filter protects from most pornography. The key word here is “reliable” -- I encourage you to check out the many services available through www.bsafe.com. It’s the system I use in my home. You also have to realize that you are the ultimate filter. It’s your responsibility to monitor for garbage that might slip through, to warn your kids about online predators, and to teach them not to talk to strangers online. Mom, Dad, when you fail to take such action, it’s as if you have given the perverts your permission to stalk your sons and daughters.\\While you’re taking the simple but daily steps to protect your home, you might wonder if anyone is holding the predators accountable for using and abusing our children and their youth.

One organization that deserves our thanks and support in the effort to protect our kids is the National Law Center for Children and Families. This year, NLC began the “NLC PROTECTS” series of seminars across the country -- bringing the nation’s top experts on sex crimes to train prosecutors, investigators and local government attorneys how to prosecute obscenity crimes and fight the sexual exploitation of children. Its two main goals are “to show the link between all crimes of sexual exploitation and to educate the attendees about the true nature of prosecutable obscenity.”

Tracking down sex offenders can be a tricky business. A thorough knowledge of the law and how it can be used to bring down the criminals who stalk our children is a must -- and that’s where the NLC comes in. They show officials how to investigate the ways predators entice our children online, how to interview child witnesses and how to prosecute sex crimes that involve obscenity and child pornography.

Why is such a series necessary? As NLC Executive Director Richard Whidden told Congress last year, we live in a “hypersexualized environment” -- one barely imaginable when the Supreme Court made its landmark Ginsberg v. New York decision prohibiting the sale of sexually explicit material to those under 17.

As Whidden put it: “When Ginsberg was decided in 1968, the Internet was a figment of science fiction writers’ imaginations; satellites were something only NASA and the government used; cable TV was rare; and persons who sought obscene materials could obtain it in only a very few places. Today, obscene materials are [as] easily accessible to us -- and therefore to our children -- as our home computers, classrooms, wireless communications devices such as phones and PDAs, and of course the vast wilderness of television. Obscene materials are no longer limited to the proverbial ‘plain brown wrapper.’ The accessibility, affordability, and anonymity of the Internet has had an adverse effect on our children and families.”

NLC PROTECTS seminars already held in Alexandria, Va., and Phoenix, Ariz., have received rave reviews. NLC plans to hold another dozen seminars over the next two years. To learn more, sign up for their e-newsletter.

The NLC (and many others) also worked hard to make sure the “Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act” became law. Named for the murdered son of John Walsh, host of the long-running TV series America’s Most Wanted, it was signed by President Bush on July 27. The legislation creates a national database of convicted child molesters, and increases penalties for those who commit sex crimes against children and fail to register with their state.

As I point out in my book, Home Invasion, the porn culture is everywhere, and it affects how human beings treat each other, our health and our basic humanity.

Parents, you must understand that even if a child molester never stalks your children, mere exposure to pornography inflicts a great deal of damage to their developing attitudes, psyches and morality. Jill Manning, a former visiting fellow at The Heritage Foundation, outlined the personal cost in a paper she presented to a special U.S. Senate subcommittee. Her review of the peer-reviewed research reveals that pornography consumption by children is associated with the following trends (just to name a few):

- Developing tolerance toward sexually explicit material, thereby requiring more novel or bizarre material to achieve the same level of arousal or interest.

- Overestimating the prevalence of less common sexual practices (e.g., group sex, bestiality and sadomasochistic activity).

- Abandoning the goal of sexual exclusivity with a partner.

- Perceiving promiscuity as a normal state of interaction.

- Developing cynical attitudes about love.

- Believing that raising children and having a family is an unattractive prospect.

- Developing a negative body image, especially for women.

Fortunately, there are ways you can help protect your own children. Arm yourself with good information about social-science trends -- information you can find at sites like familyfacts.org. Get a reliable Web filter for your home computers. And consider supporting the work being done by groups such as the National Law Center.

Who will mold your children? You, or the pimps?

ELIZABETH GALEANA--CRUISE SHIP VICTIM FOUND

NAPLES, Fla. (AP) — A body found off the coast of Italy has been identified as a Florida woman who disappeared from a cruise ship last month, according to the FBI.

Elizabeth Galeana, 22, drowned, said Lourdes Hall, an FBI spokeswoman in Tampa. Foul play was not suspected. "The body has been released to the family," Hall said Wednesday. Galeana, who lived in Naples, was reported missing July 25 from Royal Caribbean International's Voyager of the Seas.

She was last seen while the ship was en route to Naples, Italy, from the port of Civitavecchia, near Rome. Her sister reported her missing about seven hours later. Michael Sheehan, a spokesman for the Miami-based cruise line, has said Galena likely fell off the ship. He said the company was working with investigators.

Woman in jail after 1-year-old daughter tested positive for cocaine

HILLSBORO, Ohio (AP) — A woman who authorities said has a 1-year-old daughter who tested positive for cocaine remained in jail Monday night on a child endangerment charge.

Amber Jackson, 18, of Paint Township, was arrested Aug. 10 after a medical test determined the child tested positive for cocaine, the Highland County Sheriff's Office said. Jackson claimed at the hospital that the child accidentally ingested a relative's pain medication, the sheriff's office said.

The child spent three days in a hospital and was placed in the custody of Highland County Children's Services. A judge set Jackson's bond at $25,000 at a hearing Friday. Jail officials and court records did not list an attorney for Jackson. Hillsboro is 48 miles east of Cincinnati.

WHAT MAKES A SERIAL KILLER TICK?

"It was an urge. ... A strong urge, and the longer I let it go the stronger it got, to where I was taking risks to go out and kill people—risks that normally, according to my little rules of operation, I wouldn't take because they could lead to arrest." — Edmund Kemper

Where does this urge come from, and why is so powerful? If we all experienced this urge, would we be able to resist?

Is it genetic, hormonal, biological, or cultural conditioning? Do serial killers have any control over their desires? We all experience rage and inappropriate sexual instincts, yet we have some sort of internal cage that keeps our inner monsters locked up. Call it morality or social programming; these internal blockades have long since been trampled down in the psychopathic killer. Not only have they let loose the monster within, they are virtual slaves to its beastly appetites. What sets them apart?

Henry Lee Lucas

Serial killers have tested out a number of excuses for their behavior. Henry Lee Lucas blamed his upbringing; others like Jeffrey Dahmer say that they were born with a "part" of them missing. Ted Bundy claimed pornography made him do it. Herbert Mullin, Santa Cruz killer of thirteen, blamed the voices in his head that told him it was time to "sing the die song." The ruthless Carl Panzram swore that prison turned him into a monster, while Bobby Joe Long said a motorcycle accident made him hypersexual and eventually a serial lust killer. The most psychopathic, like John Wayne Gacy, turn the blame around and boast that the victims deserved to die.

They must be insane — what normal person could slaughter another human, for the sheer pleasure of it? Yet the most chilling fact about serial killers is that they are rational and calculating. As the "British Jeffrey Dahmer" Dennis Nilsen put it, "a mind can be evil without being abnormal."

What They Are

Before we look at who they are, we must first describe what they are. The FBI defines serial murder as:

  • A minimum of three to four victims, with a "cooling off" period in between;
  • The killer is usually a stranger to the victim — the murders appear unconnected or random;
  • The murders reflect a need to sadistically dominate the victim;
  • The murder is rarely "for profit";
  • The motive is psychological, not material;
  • The victim may have "symbolic" value for the killer;
  • Method of killing may reveal this meaning;
  • Killers often choose victims who are vulnerable (prostitutes, runaways, etc.)

Statistically, the average serial killer is a white male from a lower to middle class background, usually in his twenties or thirties. Many were physically or emotionally abused by parents. Some were adopted.

As children, fledgling serial killers often set fires, torture animals, and wet their beds (these red-flag behaviors are known as the "triad" of symptoms.) Brain injuries are common.

Some are very intelligent and have shown great promise as successful professionals. They are also fascinated with the police and authority in general. They will either have attempted to become police themselves but were rejected, or worked as security guards, or had served in the military. Many, including John Gacy, the Hillside Stranglers (Angelo Buono, and Kenneth Bianchi) and Ted Bundy, will disguise themselves as law enforcement officials to gain access to their victims.

CALEB ANDERSON--MISSING UNDER ODD CIRCUMSTANCES

DOB: 07/20/1988
Missing Date: 06/07/2006
Missing From: Chino Valley, Arizona
Height: 6 2
Weight: 160 lbs.
Eyes: Green
Hair: Brown

Caleb Joseph Anderson was more than a typical teenager. The bright and slenderly-built seventeen-year-old lived in Chino Valley, Arizona with his mother, Diane, and father, Kevin Anderson, who holds a doctorate in microbiology. Caleb was known to be an intelligent and responsible youth, who suffered from heart problems. He enjoyed school and his part-time job at Wetzel's Pretzel, at the Gateway Mall in nearby Prescott.

On June 7, 2006, Kevin and Diane said goodbye to Caleb as they left their suburban home for a business trip to North Carolina. The next day they tried several times to call their son at home, repeatedly leaving messages. After not receiving any answer from Caleb, the concerned couple called his job, only to learn he failed to show up for a work. A very worried Kevin and Diane rushed back to Arizona and found the house in total disarray. A knife was found stuck into the center of a couch cushion and their 1994 Chevrolet van was missing. The now frightened couple immediately contacted the local police.

Investigators from the Chino Valley Police Department (CVPD) arrived and questioned the distraught parents. "It's never like him," Diane told the police. "He has been very punctual and reliable." When asked about the knife, Diane said that her son did collect knives. "Caleb wouldn't do that with the knives," she told them.

Investigators also found Caleb's wallet, money, cell phone, heart medication and glasses were still in the house. No clothing had been taken. "After our investigation, we found many suspicious elements, but we did not find any concrete evidence of an abduction," said Detective Vincent Schaan of the CVPD.

Kevin and Diane did believe their son was the victim of foul play. A city-wide search was started for the missing youth. Pleas were made to the public for help in finding him. "We need the police and everyone else who can help to understand our sense of urgency," said Kevin. All law enforcement agencies were notified throughout the state about the missing youth.

Family, friends, neighbors and schoolmates of Caleb's were questioned. "All of his friends have been contacted and they're flabbergasted," said Kevin. "I've talked to his girlfriend's mother and she says her daughter is just beside herself." Six days went by and authorities still could not find Caleb. There was not enough evidence found to initiate and Amber Alert, or to call the FBI into the investigation.

Caleb's parents continued to believe their son had been taken against his will. "I'm frustrated because I'm getting the sense that if there had been blood on the carpet, we would have gotten a different level of attention," said Kevin. "You know, for us it always comes back to his glasses," said Diane. "He would never leave without his glasses."

Law enforcement authorities consider Caleb Anderson to be a missing and endangered person. He may still be in the local area, or may have traveled to Iowa. Caleb may also be in need of medication for a heart ailment. Anyone with information on his whereabouts and/or this case is urged to immediately contact the Chino Valley Police Department (928-636-4223).

MISSING IN KENTUCKY--JESSICA DODD

Missing from: Corbin, KY
Missing since: June 26, 2006
DOB: 01/29/1989
Height: 5'3"
Weight: 125 lbs.
Eyes: Hazel
Hair: Brown

Jessica Dodd was a teenager who liked to show her independence and individuality. She had completed her Junior year at Corbin High School and was looking forward to her Senior year. Jessica was very active in school as a member of the ROTC and Humana Club. Young Jessica lived in Corbin, Kentucky with her mother, Candace Dodd and two brothers.

On Monday afternoon, June 26, 2006 Candace had to go to a scheduled appointment with a doctor. Jessica remained home to watch her brother. When her mother returned home, Jessica was nowhere to be found. It was only four days before her seventeenth birthday. Neighbors told the frightened woman that Jessica approached them and asked them to watch the boy for a short while. "The neighbors said they saw her walking through there with a backpack at about 3:30 p.m. Monday," said Candace to police who had been called in to look for the missing girl. "That was the last time anyone's heard from her. I'm about at the end of my rope."

Jessica had only taken a few jeans and tops, but not her driving permit. Investigators from the Corbin Police Department started a search for Jessica and questioned anyone who knew her and her family. They learned that Jessica had been seen in the Woodbine area with a man named A.J. and two of his friends.

It was also suspected by her mother and authorities that drugs could possibly have been involved in the girl's disappearance. "She's usually a pretty responsible kid," said her mother. "It's just been the last six to eight months, she's started to change. I thought it was just a teenage thing, but not this. Not just leave and not tell anybody. These people I've been hearing she's hanging around with do that sort of stuff. She could be doing pills or whatever they are doing."

Investigators followed every lead. The days turned into weeks and the search was expanded to statewide. "It's my belief, through information, that she's still somewhere in the Corbin, Whitley, Laurel, Knox County areas," said Corbin Police Captain Tim Helton. "And now Jessica's mom is asking the entire community to come together and help her find her daughter."

Candace pleaded to the public for help in locating her daughter. "If anybody out there has seen her, if you have any children, this is awful. This is the worst thing that I have ever had to go through. So if you've seen her, please call," said the distraught Candace. "I just really miss her and we're really worried."

It has been several weeks since Jessica Dodd disappeared. Law enforcement authorities consider her to be a missing and possibly endangered person and the possible victim of an abduction. Jessica has a pierced navel and a scar on her stomach. She may also have dyed her hair. Anyone with information on her whereabouts and/or this case is urged to immediately contact the Corbin Police Department (606-528-1122).

DESTINY NORTON--A KILLER'S WIFE SUICIDAL?

(Source)-She was writing from Hell, Utah. The estranged wife of accused killer Craig Gregerson actually lives in Salt Lake City, but changed the designation on her MySpace.com account to reflect the personal demons she has been battling over being married to a man many have described as a monster.

Catherine Gregerson has staunchly and publicly defended her husband against charges that he smothered 5-year-old neighbor Destiny Norton last month then hid her body in his basement for eight days while an intense search swirled around their neighborhood. But her emotional postings on MySpace tell another story.

Authorities have received two attempted suicide calls regarding Catherine Gregerson over the past week, said Salt Lake City police Detective Joseph Cyr. Both pertained to messages she had posted at MySpace. The most recent 911 call came in at 12:53 a.m. Monday. "Her mother called to say she had read some suicide note from her daughter posted on the Internet," Cyr said.

The Salt Lake City Fire Department and a police officer went to Gregerson's home at 12:58 a.m., but "the patient refused care and we left the scene," said an unidentified fire department dispatcher. Online, Gregerson lists herself as a 22-year-old single woman and declares: "My life just gets worse and worse when will it go good again!!!!"

Gregerson's two-year marriage has been a spectacle in grief and anger as the pair engaged in screaming matches, physical abuse and torment, according to court documents and neighbor Troy Cox, who witnessed the volatile behavi
or.

In February, Craig Gregerson filed a restraining order petition a
gainst his wife, claiming that she beat him and threatened to kill him. The order was never granted by a judge and Catherine Gregerson moved out of their home, taking the couple's 1-year-old daughter Lilly with her.

The Internet has become a forum for Gregerson to voice her anguish and receive comfort from others. Her last public posting was June 28, three weeks before Destiny disappeared from her yard in front of the Gregerson home. She titled her missive "The Pain and the hurt" and described her mood as depressed, next to an icon of a frowning cat. Gregerson wrote:

"Im hurting so bad right now I dont know think people know what Im feeling the pain just wont go away I cant even feed myself So I have no choice to do this with Lilly Ive struggled for 3 months trying to get on food stamps they keep denying me or Making up some stupid story about a problem Im sick of it She needs so much more and She needs to eat But Why does it have to hurt so BAD!!! I want to die Im in such Pain I hope people understand me ..... Please comment on how to help me get thru this if you can."

In an earlier posting, Gregerson bemoaned the fact that her husband was in love with another woman that he had met in a Mormon online dating site. She wrote: "9:10 AM - Sadness.... The Man I love is in love with yet another women My heart sits here in Broken Pieaces and shattered on the ground. I love him so much and would Do anything for him yet hes in love with another. Lord why does nothing go good for me My life has been shooting downhill Alot since he started Talking to her he hasnt even met her and He is in Love with her. Should I kick him to the Crub or should I belive what he says to me? He says he loves me and hes not in love with her, He tells me it will all be over soon and I will soon be his again if I just try harder. We made a deal I told him I would start behaving if he started treating me with respect I have yet to see this happened. The past few days Ive been sick and needed his help he hasnt helped me Lies betrayle and Pain heart ack and Sadness fill my heart Maybe one day he will see this but intill then My life is full of sadness and Theres no hope till he agrees to stop talking to this Homeweaker ( thats my little nickname for her)"

Craig Gregerson has been charged with murder and kidnapping and face a possible death sentence. Court documents reveal that he lured Destiny into his backyard, then clasped his hand over her mouth and squeezed until she suffocated. He then sexually assaulted her corpse and hid the body in a sealed plastic bin until he told authorities in a confession where to find her.

As details of Destiny's death emerged, thousands have expressed shock and horror while converging on a shrine created in Destiny's front yard. Gregerson is housed in protective custody at the Salt Lake City County Jail.

CAN'T COUNT ON THOSE SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS EITHER...

Substitute teacher claimed
to have molested more than 100 students

ONTARIO, California (AP) — A substitute elementary school teacher was charged Friday with lewd and lascivious acts involving a 10-year-old girl, and police said he claimed to have molested more than 100 students.

Eric Norman Olsen, 28, of Ontario, told detectives that he molested between 100 and 200 elementary school students since becoming a teacher three years ago, said police Detective Diane Galindo.

Police said his resume shows that he has taught in different school districts throughout San Bernardino, Riverside and Kern counties. The probe began on June 13 after a male student allegedly witnessed Olsen molest the 10-year-old girl and told school officials, Galindo said. Olsen did not have a criminal background. Police were asking the public to help identify whether there were other possible victims by contacting local police or school districts.

THIS NIGHT IN HISTORY

37 YEARS AGO...THE MANSON MURDERS

On the night of August 8, 1969, Manson directed members of his cult “Family”, Charles "Tex" Watson, Patricia Krenwinkel, Susan Atkins, and Linda Kasabian to go to the former residence of an acquaintance, record producer Terry Melcher, and kill whoever was on the premises.

Charles
Manson once knew the producer Terry Melcher (son of Doris Day) through the Beach Boys singer, Brian Wilson. At the time, Melcher and his girlfriend, actress Candice Bergen, were living at the Tate house, and it was there Manson met him and cut a record with Brian Wilson using Manson’s lyrics. After realizing they were dealing with a psychopath, they cut off all connections to him and his family members. At one point, Manson and his family took over Brian Wilson’s house and wouldn’t leave for an entire year. Brian Wilson ended up leaving his home…he was that scared.

After the rejection, Manson decided to get back at "Hollywood". Through his manipultion, drugs and brainwashing techniques, he successfully ordered the members of his family to kill for him in order to blame the black man and incite a race war.

The four arrived at midnight at the grounds of the Beverly Hills home of the film director Roman Polanski and his wife Sharon Tate. Polanski, highly acclaimed for his recent hit Rosemary's Baby, was in London working on his next film and had asked friends to stay with Tate, who was eight and a half months pregnant.

Before entering the house, they shot dead Steven Parent,
an 18-year-old friend of Tate’s gardener, who was leaving the property and had unwittingly seen the intruders. Linda Kasabian, who was acting as the getaway driver, expressed horror at the murder of Parent and was told to remain outside and keep watch while the others entered the house. "Tex" Watson quoted before every killing, "I am the devil, and I have come to do the devil's work".

They assembled the four occupants of the house into the living room where they were tied together. Jay Sebring, a noted hairstylist and friend of Sharon Tate's was visiting, and when he attempted to defend Tate, he was shot by Watson, who then kicked him several times in the face.

Wojciech Frykowski and Abigail Folger (heir to the Folgers coffee company), were
able to escape from the living room and were each pursued as they ran onto the front lawn. Quickly overtaken by the attackers, Frykowski was stabbed fifty-one times, shot twice, and pistol-whipped 13 times in the head; Folger was stabbed twenty-eight times.

Tate remained in the living room and begged for the life of her unborn baby. Susan Atkins replied, "Look bitch, I don't care about you. I don't care if you are having a baby. You are going to die and I don't feel a thing about it", and stabbed her to death. Before leaving the house she used a towel to soak up some of Tate's blood and then wrote "PIG" on the front door. This was allegedly inspired by the Beatles song Piggies.

Linda Kasabian later received immunity for submitting evidence against the group. She told Manson, "I'm not like you, I can't kill," and evinced shock and horror at finally seeing the pictures of the killings in court.

WHAT'S WITH ALL THESE OHIO SICKOS?

Man Says Sex With Kids a Sacred Ritual

(AP) - CLEVELAND-A man accused of sexually assaulting nine boys with physical or mental disabilities told a judge that having sex with children is a sacred ritual protected by civil rights laws.

Phillip Distasio, who said he is the leader of a church called Arcadian Fields Ministries, represented himself at his pretrial hearing Wednesday. He is charged with 74 counts including rape, pandering obscenity to minors and corrupting another with drugs. "I'm a pedophile. I've been a pedophile for 20 years," he said in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Wednesday. "The only reason I'm charged with rape is that no one believes a child can consent to sex. The role of my ministry is to get these cases out of the courtrooms."

Distasio said some of his congregants are among the victims in this case. Distacio, of Rocky River, is accused of molesting two disabled boys he tutored at his home and raping seven autistic boys at a Cleveland school for special-needs students where he was a teacher's aide. All but one of the victims were under 13.

A conviction on rape counts involving any of the eight younger boys would mean an automatic sentence of life in prison without parole eligibility, prosecutors said. Distasio tried unsuccessfully in June to fire his court-appointed lawyer because he wouldn't pursue a religious freedom defense. Distasio could represent himself if the attorney remained as an adviser, Judge Kathleen Sutula said.

SEX OFFENDERS UNDETECTED BEFORE 1994

A flaw? A flaw? I'd say this is MORE than a flaw. We claim to have the best justice system in the world, and we let sick, evil and dangerous people like this out into society without a care in the world? He reoffends again and they let him go after a little over a year?

This is a time where Representatives and Senators need to begin initiatives and change these lazy archaic laws and make a National Sex Offender Registry on a Federal level. Each state does not report their offenders to other states. The Federal Government will have tabs on these scum.

TAKE ACTION NOW AMERICA!!!

Experts cite flaw in sex offender laws

Minnesota didn’t consider sex offender
a high risk to reoffend, so he wasn’t registered.

(Source)--Alieghya Clark had no way of knowing the man she went to church with — the man accused of raping and killing her — had sexually attacked someone years ago. Roger Ratliff’s own wife said she knew little about what happened in the mid-1980s. The state of Kansas had no record of the conviction. And no public registry across the nation carried Ratliff’s photo or name.

That’s because Minnesota, where he committed the sexual assault, didn’t consider him a high risk to reoffend, and that meant he wasn’t required to be on the public list. And when he moved to Kansas, he didn’t have to register because the crime occurred before the 1994 public registry law went into effect.

“For people to find out about old convictions, it’s almost impossible,” said Johnson County District Attorney Paul Morrison. “Should she have known he was a sex offender? It would have been next to impossible for her to have known that.” That’s why authorities point to Clark’s case as yet another example of a flawed sex offender registry system.

Though Ratliff is an offender, there was no legal way to alert the public. It’s a flaw, authorities say, that allows some offenders to protect their past and go undetected.

Ratliff’s sister, Janelle Thomas, said she often thinks about Clark. “She trusted him,” Thomas said. “And why wouldn’t she? This is someone she went to church with.”

Prosecutors say that Ratliff raped and then killed the 21-year-old Olathe woman in late May. The two attended College Church of the Nazarene, and Ratliff and his family lived around the corner from Clark. Ratliff was charged with capital murder and rape after investigators found Clark’s remains in a wooded area in Miami County last month.

The Olathe man’s criminal history goes back to Benton County, Minn., in 1986, when he was convicted of sexually assaulting a woman he knew. Instead of going to prison, Ratliff was given 20 years’ probation. But he violated that probation less than a decade later and went to prison for 16 months, said Shari Burt, a spokeswoman with the Minnesota Department of Corrections.

Ratliff left prison the last day of 1996 and was put on supervised release, which he violated four months later and went back to prison until March 1998, according to Minnesota records. He soon came to Kansas. And because Minnesota didn’t classify him as a Level 3 offender — reserved for those considered likely to reoffend — his name, face and crime weren’t available to the public.

Ratliff met his future wife, Karen, at Olathe’s College Church of the Nazarene. They married in early 1999. John Oster, a minister with College Church, said he and others at the church weren’t aware of Ratliff’s criminal past. “Obviously, since he didn’t have to register, we wouldn’t know,” said Oster.

What worries some national crime experts is the stock many people put in state registries. Most registries only publicize offenders who committed their crimes after the mid-1990s, when states across the nation began implementing offender registration. Missouri is one state where the law was retroactive and for more than a decade went back as far as 1979 for sex crimes.

But in a June 30 ruling, the Missouri Supreme Court said that offenders convicted before the law went into effect in 1995 no longer have to register. That equates to thousands of offenders.

Criminologist James Alan Fox said there are several reasons registries give a false sense of security. Old convictions are among them. “You can’t presume because you know where registered sex offenders are that you are safe and sound,” said Fox, a professor in criminal justice at Northeastern University in Boston. “Good old fashioned common sense, what you do with whom, will do you more good,” Fox said, “than knowing where all the registered sex offenders are in your neighborhood.”

PORNOGRAPHY MADE HIM DO IT???

"I have now become a
strong
advocate against
pornography"--Craig Gregerson

(Source)--The man accused of killing 5-year-old Destiny Norton and sexually abusing her dead body claims pornography ruined his life. (Sounds like what Ted Bundy said before he was executed...)

In a recent interview from the Salt Lake County jail with local NBC affiliate KSL, Craig Gregerson didn't admit he killed the girl, but he didn't deny it. The 20-year-old said he'd like to share details about the case, but on the advice of his attorney, much of the story will remain a mystery until his trial. He told the station he plans to plead not guilty.

Gregerson was charged with capital murder after investigators found Destiny's body in his basement eight days after she disappeared July 16 from her
Salt Lake City home. But in the face-to-face interview with KSL news reporter Gene Kennedy - no cameras were allowed - Gregerson hinted at the cause of his troubles when asked why he allegedly lured the girl to his house, smothered her and sexually assaulted her corpse.

"I really want to answer that but my lawyer is preventing me from doing that right now in light of the case. I can tell you this, I have now become a strong advocate against pornography," Gregerson said.

Despite an alleged confession to police, he told KSL he plans to plead not guilty when his case is heard before 3rd District Court Judge Judith Atherton. "I'm not guilty because of things that happened that day," he said. "At my trial, I will take the stand. I feel everyone should know what happened. I was sane when this happened. I think people just say they're insane to get out of the death penalty."

Though he may face the death penalty, he said he is not worried about the sentence. "I'm not scared of it. Should the jury convict me, I'm not scared of death," he told KSL.

His demeanor remained calm throughout the interview, Kennedy reported. He smiled through much of the half-hour of questions, which he answered candidly. Gregerson accused police of stretching the truth. He said he did not give a "full-fledged confession," and that investigators exaggerated details. Reports of his involvement in the search for Destiny as well as his attendance at one of the many candlelight vigils held for the child were not true, he said.

Police have said Gregerson told them he lured the girl into his apartment, which was adjacent to the Norton home. The medical examiner said Destiny was killed shortly after she disappeared around 8 p.m. Destiny's family solicited the public's help and conducted a massive block-by-block search of Salt Lake County, including the canyons of the Wasatch Mountains and areas along the Jordan River. The search drew help from Salt Lake City Mayor Rocky Anderson, missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Judge Memorial High School football team.

Gregerson did express remorse during the interview. "I do apologize to the public and everyone else who's been involved in what happened," he said. Gregerson has a scheduling conference in court at 8:30 this morning.
