COPY CAT KILLINGS? OR A SERIOUS SOCIAL PROBLEM?

In the last month, there have been four school shootings throughout the U.S., and one in Canada...in addition to countless foiled plots by wanna-be goths or "trenchcoat killers".

Scary Stats 

There have been 17 nonfatal school shootings so far this school year, beginning Aug. 1, 2006. There were 85 in 2005 and 52 in the 2004 school year. Since Columbine in 1999, the number of fatal school shootings in a school year has ranged from 3 to 24 within a three year period, according to National School Safety and Security Services.

(AP) CAZENOVIA, Wis.--A teenager who decided to confront teachers and the principal after complaining that other students teased him brought two guns to school and shot the principal to death, authorities said. 

Principal John Klang 49, was shot in the head, chest and leg, authorities said. The killer, Eric Hainstock, told investigators a group of children had called him names and rubbed up against him, and he felt teachers and the principal would not do anything about it. He has been charged as an adult with murder. He could get life in prison if convicted.

Too bad Wisconsin doesn't have the death penalty


Guess what? Who DIDN'T get teased in high school? Grow up...get over it! We all went through that and worse without having to kill our principals, teachers and friends. What kind of minds are we raising today? Is America refusing to call this a national epidemic? Why is no one doing anything about it? 

Sure, the media covers it with their liberal outrage, but in the end nothing gets done. Security guards and metal detectors don't get placed in public schools, while school boards saying they are working on security issues, but keep the plans on hold. I, as a taxpayer would kindly put in a few more tax dollars to ensure safety in schools.

The Amish Mystery

(Source) Oct. 2, 2006 — A 32-year old married father of three milk truck driver, Charles Carl Roberts, 32, lined Amish school children up against the blackboard of their one-room schoolhouse in rural Lancaster County, Penn., and shot and killed five young girls, ages 6 to 13, then shot himself. Several other children were also shot in the head at close range. 

Police said Roberts took his own kids to their school bus before he entered the Amish school, displayed a handgun and told some of the children to line up against the blackboard. Roberts let all the boys in the school go, as well as a pregnant woman and a few other women who had children with them. 

He then had some of the girls stand in front of the blackboard. He bound their hands before shooting them "execution style in the head." Roberts, who is not Amish, phoned his wife and told her, "The police are here. I won't be coming home. I can't go on anymore." 

It has been stated that he told his wife he left notes that would explain. It was apparently revenge for something that happened 20 years ago.

The Vermont Freak

(Source) - A gunman shot five people killing two of them, in a rampage through two houses and an elementary school that ended when he wounded himself, police said. One of the slayings occurred at the school, which was not in session. One person was killed in the first shooting, which occurred at a home. The shooter then went to the school, where he fatally shot one person and wounded two others. The shooter then went to a second home where he wounded a person before turning the gun on himself.



Don't forget about this psychopathic pervert! (Source) -- As 16-year-old Emily Keyes was being held hostage by a gunman in the last hours of her life, she tapped out one last text message to her family: "I love u guys."  

Duane Morrison, 53, who had an arrest record in neighboring Jefferson County and was wanted on a fugitive-from-justice warrant, took six girls hostage inside a classroom of Platte Canyon High School, in Bailey Colorado. 

He released four students one-by-one in a three-hour standoff but negotiations then broke down. He had already sexually assaulted and "traumatized" the female students when the raid was ordered to end. Morrison used Emily Keyes as a human shield when the officers burst in. Morrison shot her in the back of her head when she tried to escape. The gunman then shot himself.


Canada's "Goth/Vampire" School Shooter




(Source)--The gunman who went on a shooting rampage at a Montreal college Wednesday apparently left an online journal with chilling comments and photos of himself brandishing a rifle. Kimveer Gill was the author of an online diary posted at the website vampirefreaks.com.

Kimveer Gill was dressed entirely in black, wearing a trench coat and armed with a rifle when he arrived at Dawson College on Wednesday afternoon. 

One woman, Anastasia DeSousa, 18, was shot to death and 19 people were injured, at least six of them critically, in the rampage that followed. The victims ranged in age from 17 to 48. 

Eyewitnesses say they saw a tall, Goth-looking man in a long black coat drive up near the college walked toward the college and shot at least one person outside before entering the building. It was lunchtime and the school was packed when the gunman entered through the main doors and headed to the cafeteria. "He was shooting randomly," said Dawson student Michel Boyer, who witnessed the gunfire. 

"I'm not sure who he was shooting at, but the [cafeteria] atrium was completely cleared." Police said the gunman died during the shootout. 

Preliminary autopsy results released Thursday showed Gill died of a self-inflicted wound, Quebec police said. In his profile on vampirefreaks.com, a website devoted to Goth culture, Gill called himself "Trench," and wrote: "You will come to know him as the Angel of Death." "Work sucks … School sucks … Life sucks … What else can I say?" he wrote. "Metal and Goth kick ass.
