This is to my recent 'anonymous' nemesis who doesn't understand the underworld of American Government. I have provided some interesting information about the Bush family regarding Prescott Bush, his son, George Bush, and his grandson, President George W. Bush.
Prescott Bush was a United States Senator for Connecticut in the 50's and 60's.

Prescott Bush was a United States Senator for Connecticut in the 50's and 60's.

Hurricane Connie and Diane Hit
Herman Wolf, a former aide to Connecticut Governor Ribicoff stated, "Those two hurricans hit Connecticut in August 1955 and knocked the state into total disaster. While the entire Atlantic coast from North Carolina through Massachusetts was affected, Connecticut suffered the worse. We lost 77 lives, and the flooding destroyed homes, farms, businesses, roads, shores, and utilities, causing over $350 million in property damage."
"...I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around and looked up...there was Prescott Bush (Senator-CONN) standing there. In a very quiet voice, he said, "Herman, what can I do to help?"
Wolf continues, "...I just shouted, 'Get us some helicopters so we can survey the damage at dawn'. That's all he had to hear. ...I don't know who he called, but by dawn there were two helicopters from the federal government ready to fly us around the state."

So, where were the Louisiana and Mississippi Senators in the present situation? The Governor asked for help from the state's senator and he immediately took action...federally, not locally.
Wolf also said, "For my money--and I'm a democrat who worked for Governor Abe Ribicoff---Prescott Bush was a fine gentleman. In fact, he was the best of the Bushes. After him, the blood thinned as it went down the line. His son George Herbert Walker Bush wasn't much to look up to, and then, God help us, we got George's son George Walker Bush, and the less said there, the better."PRESCOTT BUSH DIGS IN DURING CATASTROPHE
Prescott threw himself into the flood-recovery crisis for Connecticut, touring the state to talk to the victims and survey the damage. He introduced legislation for federal flood insurance so that property owners and small business men would be protected from financial ruin. He also submitted additional bills to increase Federal Housing Authority mortgage insurance for repair or replacement of damaged homes; to provide temporary housing for disaster relief; to authorize construction of flood control reservoirs; and to increase emergency relief highway funds.
DOESN'T SOUND LIKE THE TYPICAL REPUBLICAN, DOES IT?
MORE FACTS ON GEORGE BUSH AND GWB--WHERE THEY STAND
When George Bush ran for the U.S. Senate from Texas, he opposed the Civil Rights Bill of 1964. He also tried to kill the fair housing bill.
The rest of his political career reflected only the most opportunistic stands on racial matters, unlike his father, Prescott.

It was predicted, but eventually false that Prescott Bush would vote for the deregulation ofthe gas industry because of his son, George, an oil tycoon. It was soon learned that Prescott Bush would vote against the bill because, "the majority of people in my state live in large urban centers and could not afford to pay the high prices that would result from deregulation."
Prescott also agreed that the bill was a conspiracy by big oil and gas companies to reap obscene profits at the expense of the nation's urban masses, many of whom were absolutely dependent on natural gas for heating and cooking.
When ex-President George Bush couldn't convince his father, he got his lawyer, to pressure him into voting for the deregulation. Later Howard was subpoenaed to testify before the Senate special committee, he admitted he recieved a $5,000.00 bonus from Shell for trying to get Prescott to change his vote.
Later, two other senators stepped forward to report that they had been offered bribes from the oil industry in an attempt to influence their votes.
On this issue, Prescott voted principle over purse. The negative effect on a member of his own family did not change his decision...when George Bush entered politics 8 years later...his only priority was to win. Unlike his father, George needed to be liked by everyone rather than respected. That left no room for taking an unpopular stand, even if it meant doing the right thing for his constituents.

Hey, I just want to be liked...I'm insecure!

Prescott was stalwart on civil rights. "He was one of the few who was with us on the crucial votes in 1956", said Howard Shuman, former administrative assistant to Senator Paul Douglas. "Prescott was a progressive republican, far and way better than his son George or his grandson, George W."

using Kitty Kelley as a source of historical background on the Bushes would be like me using Ann Coulter or Rush Limbaugh as a source to define Bill Clinton. kelly has been widely discredited for her tabloid style attacks on our current President I take nothing she has to say seriously and neither should you.
First of all, you must not know much about the legal system and what is considered libel and if a complaint is even worth litigation.
Kitty Kelley has cited every single source she uses. Before a book is even published it is studied and cite checked with a fine tooth comb by the publisher's legal department. You can't publish a book based on false accusations. These were interviews with actual people willing to go on the record, all of her documentation is publicly available and credible, and she exerts extra attention to what is libelous and what is not.
In fact, if you knew anything about National Best Selling authors, you would know that after 6 books under her belt she has never lost a lawsuit.
In the 80's, before Ms. Kelley even began her book about Frank Sinatra, he went to court to try to prevent it from being published. He slapped her with a $2 million lawsuit because he believed it painted him in an unattractive light, detailing his tumultous marriages, affairs, links to the Mob, and obssession with powerful figures. He also accused her of misrepresenting herself as his authorized biographer.
He later withdrew his lawsuit amid much publicity and the book went on to become number one on the New York Times best seller list, and was a huge seller not only in the US but also in England, Canada and Australia.
At least my post regarding the Bush family has factual documentation that has not been contested. Your opinion is not worth the toilet paper for my ass, because if you knew anything about publishing and the legalities of unauthorized biographies, then you would have kept your ignorant thoughts to yourself.
By the way...keep it up with the other sheep you are following.
Get your own mind...study BOTH sides of the issue, make your own theories and/or opinions, and THEN I will take you seriously.
"These were interviews with actual people willing to go on the record"
You can find any nut job to say anything about anybody that does not make it true.
Ann Coulter cites all of her sources too as does al Franken but somehow i doubt their tomes pass as serious academic work but whatever.
Did you ever think that there might be a reason Ms. Kelley is sued very often? I don't think its because she is the model of integrity. whatever. i'm tired of pointing out the obvious.
also i never claimed Kelley commited libel i simply pointed out that her work is widely critcised for being sensational and not very serious. the fact that her books sell well mean nothing there has plenty of trash on the best sellers list. Have you ever written research paper? Generally and when I say generally i mean always one does not use "unathorized" biographies as source material a college professor would red line that in a heart beat.
I wouldn't consider the closest advisor to the former Governor of Conneticut as a "nut job". Kitty Kelley is not only a writer, but a journalist. She knows the rules of journalism, as do I. Do you have a background in journalism? I do...so if you don't, then zip it.
To your snide comment: "have I ever written a research paper? " Honey, I could blow your ass out of the water in that department. You have no idea how I could embarass your sheep-brained ass.
Since you are so smart, I challenge you to disprove the obvious historical content I presented on Prescott Bush's views, his son, George Bush's personal oil interests, etc. History doesn't lie. Secrets are always revealed.
By the way, I am not presenting this information to a college professor...I am presenting it to the readers of my blog. I'm not getting graded, asshole. Are you still in college using those 'professor' analogies? Keep up your studies and maybe you won't turn into a typical american dumb-ass.
ah yes name calling the last outpost of some one who has lost the arguement
My previous comment to you:
"Since you are so smart, I challenge you to disprove the obvious historical content I presented on Prescott Bush's views, his son, George Bush's personal oil interests, etc. History doesn't lie. Secrets are always revealed."
I've asked you time and again to give me some proof that discredits Ms. Kelley. Have you presented any information to the contrary? I'm still waiting.
You think you won some argument, but you don't even have or KNOW the facts. I'd say that would be your loss.
By the way, if you are going to debate with me, learn how to spell.
