How often do you hear about a millionaire that puts all aside for this deep-rooted personal mission to help others? Batman, maybe? That's about all I can come up with.
Beth Holloway Twitty stayed with me and my family last week in Philadelphia. I watched this mother cry. My family and I cried with her. Her tears are tears of pain, sorrow, loss. My mother's tears are of sympathy. Mine, however ARE NOT – mine are of pure anger.
Even if, by some miracle, Natalee walks through the door tomorrow, I want the cowardly PUNKS who hurt her to know that THEY STILL HAVE ME TO CONTEND WITH – and I am a problem that NOBODY wants. Yes, I've been on both sides of the law. I was young once. Things happen. That's life. It's not how you start the race; it's how you finish it.
Several of my associates are in Aruba as we speak. Within the next five days, several more will join them. The ability to easily enter this third world cesspool continues to astonish all of us. It's more difficult to enter the New York City subway system than it is to enter Aruba – security there should be at an all-time high, not NON-EXISTENT. I want Americans to know that they are vulnerable to our enemies from all over the world while in Aruba, as vulnerable as if they were wearing a white shirt with a red Bull's eye on the back.
I have spoken to Philadelphia City Council and many high-ranking elected officials and asked when a Resolution will be passed calling for a BOYCOTT of Aruba as a tourist destination. As a result, pressure will be put on the cruise ships to use other ports, and THEN we will have the UNDIVIDED ATTENTION of Aruba and its government.
Speaking of the people of Aruba, I am not after them – I feel bad that they are going to suffer due to a lethargic and lackadaisical response from their government. I suggest that the people of Aruba apply pressure from within to get some answers in the Holloway case, and do it quickly.
I have vowed on World television, to Beth Twitty, to myself, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, to my own mother, that I WILL NOT GIVE UP until this case is resolved to MY satisfaction. Screw closure. Screw justice. I believe in REVENGE.
These three pieces of TRASH have a Sicilian on their tail who has arms and eyes that can reach and see AROUND THE WORLD. They can run, but they can't hide. I want them and the Aruban government to look at me and know that they are out of their league.

What the heck is BHT doing with this crackpot? What's up with that? It makes me wonder about her other judgments, and things about this case.
I can't believe she lets this gangster speak on her behalf, and has alligned herself with someone who is an alleged rapist, himself, and who served time for nearly killing his wife. He threatened his own young stepdaughter with gang rape, as revenge for her mother leaving him.
If this is the trash that BHT is associating with, she has lost credibility, and I question many other things, now....
As an Aruban I strongly believe that Joe is just trying to catch attention due to his past involvement in criminal activities. He wants the U.S. people to believe that now he is a nice and well respected person. In Aruba we call them bastards...

Whatever problems he had or things he did were in the past. He's served his time and is now trying to make right. I'm not a judgmental person...I'm no better than anyone. Someone could pick me apart as well.
Joe has obviously changed his life around and dedicates his all to helping others. Whatever personal problems he had are resolved and in the past...and have nothing to do with what is important here: JUSTICE FOR NATALEE. BOYCOTT ARUBA UNTIL QUESTIONS ARE ANSWERED. That's all the family wants at this point.

I feel for the Arubans - it would certainly be easier to find Natalee without Joe. Aruba still has the option to come clean and do it right.

I feel as you do Michelle, that it is rare to have a champion like Joe Mammana step out of his comfortable and likely demanding life, to extend help to others. Some may not like his manner or his message at times, but with increasing crimes against our young females I am grateful for his support and hard work within these missing female cases.
I also have to question what type of society we have become if we don't allow former criminals to re-habilitate and burn them at the stake for past transgressions. To date I do not believe he has committed a crime against Aruba, now has he?

Thanks for standing up for Joe and for posting his email for us to read. Joe could choose to do many other things with his time, money, and influence. I thank God that he cares enough to use what he has to find those who are missing, especially Natalee. I don't care what he's done in his past, he's doing a lot of good NOW and people just need to let the past rest. Those who question Beth's acceptance of his assistance must not have children. I can say as a mother that in Beth's situation there's no help that I wouldn't accept to find one of my own. Prayers for Natalee and her family. Thanks again Michelle!

Thank you for bringing Joe's email letter to your blog site. I know it's not easy to defend someone as you have, and probably anticipated some negative reactions when you were making your decision to share this with the public. But it was the right decision.
No matter what the language is, Joe's message is the same as many have in their hearts. He wants with all his soul to find Natalee and bring her home to Beth. He's rough around the edges, but his intent is magnificent. He's a proud and courageous man. He's not afraid to say what he feels, and he's not hypocritical.
His armor may be a little tarnished, but a knight to the Holloway/Twitty families he surely is right now.
His tears are genuine. He gives generously of his own hard earned money to help many missing persons cases. How could one not see that he is not in this for the glory. He is in this because he believes in helping by any means he has possible.
I for one am glad there is someone out there wanting to help this poor family find Natalee, or find answers.

Excuse you! Security is NON -excistent on the island? Are you dumb, blind or what? It's very obvious that you're very arrogant. Why should we have security increased on the island if they are already very tuff in the states? We don't have tuff security on arriving flights from the states due to the tuff security in the states. US-flights arrive and the US-tourist are out in about 30 minutes. Other non US-flights do get a severe security check and all passenger's luggage are screened. They usually take 1 to 1 and a hald hour to get out. On flights from the island security isn't tuff in the states because all flights from Aruba arrive as domestic flights in the states because all flights are check by the Aruban immigration and Aruban securtiy, then checked by the US-immigration and US-customs and by the TSA. So Mammana's theory is pure BS. Does he actually knows the meaning of what a third world country is? He wants to have cruise ships also on his side? where will they go then? Cancun, Mexico, Cayman islands, Jamaica, New Orleans (since all of them have been ripped by hurricanes). It's very interesting that he mentioned that his associates are on the island. Why not him? Is it because he has a criminal record and therefor he has been prohibited to enter the island? We have an eye out for his associates here on the island, because it's obvious that his intentions aren't good for my island.
He isn't after us? (me a citizen of Aruba?) please that's another BS. We did put pressure on the government, but to make the Aruban government along with the Dutch government to take diplomatic actions to defend our justice system and fight the boycott.
Believe me that everyone here believes these three are guilty but as long EVIDENCE according to DUTCH LAW is found, we can't take them and just jail them. They are having a really tuff time here on the island because everywhere they go people attack them and are making their life impossible and especially since they aren't local Arubans. I myself have said some words towards one of the Kalpoe's here on the island, but no evidence by DUtch law, no case. That's what the investigators are working on now, trying to find the missing link. That's why they want to talk with the students from the states, because they believe they might have seen something or now something wich maybe they don't know, but may be the missing link that forms the chain. But that's what Beth isn't happy to do. She keeps pointing the finger that the answer lies here and only here on the island. She want's the case to be revised but she only wants it to be done on Aruba. Doesn't make sense. The students aren't suspects in no way! Joran, satish and Kalpoe are. But a link is missing.

We as Americans do not want to hurt the Aruban people. We only want them to help put pressure on those officials that can find answers to what happened to Natalee. However, if answers do not prevail soon the economic impact on Aruba will be devasting. There are plenty of other vacation destinations that we can choose to go to.

In this case, he wants revenge...The people of Aruba who were involved (not all Arubans), were given Many opportunities to assist Beth while living on the island.I know that Jossy of Diaro was helpful to Beth but other than him and his family, I do not know of a single Aruban on the island who was helpful or who offered True assistance. nEAR THE END OF HER STAY, THIS gRIEVING MOTHER WAS STALKED AND HARASSED, asked when she was going to leave the island for good.
