Ok...this Teacher/Student Sex thing is getting out of hand. I have absolutely nothing against lesbians (or in this case, a married woman livin' on the "down-low")...but this is just gross. Maybe it's because this woman is just plain scary-looking?! Now if it was Debra Lafave, that would be another story. HA HA HA.

NOVEMBER 2--Meet Jaymee Lane Wallace. The Florida math teacher is facing charges that she carried on an 18-month affair with a teenage student she coached at a Tampa high school.
According to a police report (which can be seen at the link above), the alleged victim, now 17, gave investigators a detailed (and graphic) account of her alleged involvement with Wallace, who is 28 and married.
Wallace has been charged with lewd and lascivious behavior, a felony that carries a maximum 15-year prison term. The student, whose name police redacted from the report released yesterday, told investigators that the sexual relationship began in early-2003, after she received a note from Wallace saying that she "found her attractive and wanted to know if she felt the same way." The note was in an envelope attached to a graded paper that Wallace returned to the girl in math class.
The girl told police that they first kissed in Wallace's car "after a few games of arm wrestling" and subsequently engaged in sexual activity "more than 50 times" in the teacher's car and her apartment. When questioned by detectives, Wallace described her involvement with the teen as "much like a mother/daughter or big sister/little sister" relationship, according to the report.
The Wallace case marks the second Tampa-area educator to be recently charged with having sex with a student. Debra Lafave, a middle school reading teacher, faces a December trial for lewd behavior with a 14-year-old boy.

I am curious to know how you feel about this lesbian teacher and student story since in previous commentary I see you excuse President Clinton's sexual affair with a subordinate because you feel that he was preyed upon by Lewinsky and that she wanted it.
Do you feel the same thinking applies in this case?
I never said Clinton was preyed upon by Lewinsky. I believe I said she didn't need to be seduced. I don't care what two consenting adults do in private. Whether he lied about it or not and perjured himself...who cares? Not me. Old news...boring.
To answer your question: Same thinking does not apply. This is not an instance of sexual harassment in the workplace. This is not about a man preying on a young girl. This is about a teacher excusing the rules for herself by getting sexually involved with her student.
And by the way, didn't you see that the student had sexual contact with her teacher over 50 times? I'd say the student wasn't much "prey" for the teacher.
Yes, I did see that they had 50 encounters. That was my point. It was consensual so was it really wrong?
I do understand it was a someone under age 18, and that is where the problem arises.
Minus the age issue though, I do see many similarities to the Clinton fiasco. Both involved someone in power involved with someone that is in a subordinate position that may be wrongly influenced to participate.
It really is beside the point whether or not the victims need any seducing. Perhaps, they are scared to rebuke the advances of someone in power or are wrongly convinced that the person in power cares about them. The workplace (your boss)and a school (your teacher) are really no different.
I will say though that I am surprised that you shrug off Clintons abuse of his power and his subsequent perjury as both acceptable and "old news".
ok so is this the same anonoymous that thought it was "cool" to be a argumentative snot about politics? Because who cares about how it relates to the "Clinton" scandel what happened to good old fashioned morals....its not about if it was consensual it is about the fact that this is a teacher, someone who could easily influence young peoples lives dramatically, dont you think young people will be influenced enough simply by their peers. They certainly don't need a teacher to help along that process...come on peole MORALES!!!!
and before it is even made an issue..my bad I meant to type MORALS!!!!
You're exactly right, it is about morals.
I am not excusing the teacher, nor do I excuse Clinton. I am just using a similiar situation (the one involving Clinton) to see if Michelle has a double standard or if she's consistent, or if she can convincingly explain why they are different.
It appears she believes the teacher situation matters and the Clinton situation doesn't matter. Despite both being consensual encounters, and both involving superiors and subordinates.
It appears in the statmemt above that Anonymous thinks that a teacher can influence a young persons life. Indeed, I agree.
Surely, he feels the same applies to the President's behavior.
In my opinion, both have an obligation to be role models to youth and society.
Quit picking on poor Michelle. Can you see that she's just messing around with these posts? Do you not have a sense of humor?
I think this case is different from Clinton...this is about an adult and a child. Not two consenting adults.
Hey ANON-- Here's your quote: "I am just using a similiar situation (the one involving Clinton) to see if Michelle has a double standard or if she's consistent, or if she can convincingly explain why they are different."
Why do you try so hard to sound like a smart-ass bastard? I bet you have a small weenie, too.
STOP THE MADNESS!
I am not being a smart ass, I just happen to enjoy intelligent debate. This website contains serious topics and I really don't come here for humor.
However, it appears you like to toss out low blows (pun intended)...probably hoping I'll go away. Of course, much to your dismay/dissappointment, you really are only encouraging me to keep writing and opining.
I would think Michelle also appreciates my comments because it makes her site interesting and keeps people coming back. I could be wrong of course, but I hope not.
