NEW SOCIAL PLAGUE--DRUGGING AND FORCED PROSTITUTION

Women are not Exempt from Committing Sex Crimes

A 15 Year Old's Life Changes Forever

A Marysville woman accused of selling a drugged 15-year-old female runaway into prostitution was sentenced to six years in prison Tuesday. Citlaly Guerrero, 26, pleaded guilty in December to one count of pandering a minor for prostitution. The second count of the same charge was dropped, as was a misdemeanor case that involved Guerrero allegedly making threats against her own sister.

With attorne, Carl Lindmark at her side, Guerrero addressed Yuba County Superior Court Judge James L. Curry and the victim's family. “I w
ant to say I have great remorse,” she said. “I know I have to live with this for the rest of my life.” (So does your victim!)

Guerrero acknowledged the damage she caused to the victim and to Guerrero's family.

The sentencing ended another phase in a sex transaction case which involved a drugged 15-year-old female runaway from Yuba County. The transactions took place between July 1 and July 12 in an apartment complex on Country Club Court in Linda.

Yuba County sheriff's deputies rescued the girl after a neighbor alerted them to her circumstances. Guerrero was one of four people arrested in the case. She is the third to be sentenced. “Miss Guerrero really regrets her actions,” (Of course she does...because she's going to prison!) Lindmark said following the sentencing.“It was a good resolution to the case,” said Deputy District Attorney Teresa Sydow. A number of people have been involved in the incident and there has been hundreds of pages of court documents with the case, she said.

The victim was not present at the sentencing, but her mother and her sister were present. The mother addressed the court and said her daughter moved out of the area.

She is suffering from post traumatic stress and is on medication for depression, she said.

“It's affected our whole family in a negative way,” the mother told Curry. She asked for Guerrero to be sentenced to the maximum of eight years in prison, but Curry said he could only sentence Guerrero to six years because of the plea agreement.

Guerrero, he said, displayed “a high degree of callousness” toward the victim when she brought her to the residence and people who abused her.

The victim turned to Guerrero in a time of need, and that the victim was not a willing participant in the actions that occurred, he said. “This defendant knew where exactly to take this child, which doors to knock on,” Curry said.

Lindmark said that Guerrero suffered from Battered Women's Syndrome and that she feared the man to whom she brought the victim. (Likely story...I don't buy it.) “She did what he told her to do,” Lindmark said during the sentencing. (We're not talking about Charles Manson here...I don't believe this pyscho for a minute. She was getting money out of the deal and NOW she's SORRY.)

Although prosecutors believe a number of people may have been involved in the case, four people have been arrested. Besides Guerrero, two other suspects were sentenced to a year (ONLY A YEAR???) in prison for lewd acts on a child. Pascual Gamez, 50, and Gerardo Razo Bernal, 28, both illegal immigrants (Of course, they are ILLEGAL! Do you know how many crimes illegals commit in this country and how many of our tax dollars we spend on them? RIDICULOUS!) will be deported at the end of their sentences for having sex with the victim. (You know sexual predators and rapists are the lowest end of the totem pole in prison. I bet they are hoping they have some friends who are with the Mexican Mafia. They'll need protection so they don't get raped themselves. The Mexican Mafia is the biggest and most powerful prison gang in the entire California prison system.) The remaining suspect, William Ray Walker, 45, is believed to be the main person responsible for drugging and engaging in sex with the victim and prostituting her to other men in the complex. Walker is facing 15 felony counts including rape, sodomy, forced oral copulation, and employing a minor for unlawful drug transactions.

Michelle's Two Cents:

This people should be put in prison forever. I think all sex offenders of this caliber are NOT able to be rehabilitated and should be locked away forever, or kept in a group home under close supervision with an electronic monitoring device. I once researched and wrote a paper on "Chemical Castration" for sex offenders. Sounds like maybe it should be implented in some way for some of these sickos.
