Has it come to this? This week officials will decide if a grand jury investigation is warranted by interviewing Lexi, 12 and Zac Stebic, 11. "The law allows this office to bring the children before a grand jury...we remain keenly interested in interviewing the children," said Charles Pelkie, spokesperson for the Illinois State's Attorney James Glasgow. (source) This can be done very easily through a subpoena.
Now here is the million dollar question...aside from WHERE IS LISA? Why would a father want his children to go through such a traumatizing event such as a grand jury interview? This could be avoided if daddy Stebic would have allowed his children to speak to qualified child advocates and investigators four months ago. Since day one he has blocked anyone from speaking to them.
If Stebic truly wants the police to find the truth and eliminate him as a "person of interest" then he would allow his children to tell the police what they know. He claims he is protecting them from further emotional instability.
What do you call a missing mother? Healthy, normal emotional stability?
If Craig Stebic is NOT GUILTY then he is a poor excuse of a father for not allowing his children adequate psychiatric help and/or therapy.
This week Will County Illinois prosecutors are meeting with police to review evidence including interviews and forensic evidence.

So sad, I have been following this from the first mention of her disappearance. I agree with you 100%, being interviewed by a Grand Jury will be traumatic for an 11 and 12 yr old. It would be hard for an adult.
I wish that the husband had nothing to do with the murder, but I think he killed Lisa and dumped her body somewhere.
Can you charge someone for murder without the body in certain circumstances?
Yes, the State can prosecute without a body. It's been done in several other states. I will look into it and post something about it, because that is a very curious question...something that I have often thought myself.
What do you think about the development in the McCann missing child case that the parents are guilty?
they are definitely guilty of being STUPID PARENTS. Sometimes it does not matter how much formal education a person has--they are both doctors...how could you leave a 4 yr sleeping with twin 2yr olds alone and go have dinner?? If that was what you wanted, DON'T HAVE KIDS IN THE FIRST PLACE.
I am so disgusted right now.
If they are guilty, I hope they rot.
